Five-year-old understands impeachment hearing better than House Republicans

A five-year-old from Boise, Idaho, Charlotte Herring, was regrettably exposed to several minutes of the House Judiciary impeachment hearing today and asked her mother, “Are those bad men, Mommy? Why are they yelling at the TV? Don’t they have a mommy to tell them to behave?”

Little Charlotte blurted out the questions as former wrestling coach Jordan was flailing about in the usual attempt to obfuscate and derail the impeachment hearing.

All Charlotte’s mother could do was respond, “Those men think they can do or say anything and that people will believe them if they are loud enough.”

“Do people listen to that man? Why is he so mean?” asked Charlotte.

“I don’t know why they act like that, but we don’t have to,” said Charlotte’s mother.

Upon that, Charlotte grabbed her doll and left the room, preferring to ignore the nasty antics on the television screen.

Charlotte’s mother turned off the TV. She decided to send a message to her elected representative, suggesting that her five-year-old understood what was going on better than House Republicans that day.

And she was right.

The Congress of baboons continued to beat their chests and stomp about in their own feces as the world looked on, wondering how America got here. The sane ones wonder who voted for these guys in the first place.
